Black Friday is Just 3 Weeks Away!
On Black Friday every place you can imagine, both online and off, people will be shopping Black Friday deals. Followed on Monday by Cyber Monday deals online. Stores give incredible savings on products because they're hoping that you'll also pick up a few of their other regularly priced items, too. Pretty smart, if you think about it. This is one of the largest consumer weekends of the whole year, and we need to be prepared to be wise with our spending.
If you’re like me, you’ll have your plan already made, know exactly what you’re looking for and then enjoy doing your Black Friday shopping from home. I like to take care of the rest of my Christmas shopping then because I still have enough time to get it shipped to me here in Mexico before Christmas.
Here are some of the deals you can expect for this year:
Electronics – Amazon and retail stores like Walmart will often have entertainment and electronic bundles (laptop, carrying case and a printer) for under $300. Separate brand name printers such as HP may sell for less than $30. GPS devices may be on sale for as much as 40% off.
Televisions, like the 32 inch HD TVs, sometimes sell for $150 or less, but in limited amounts, and they sell out fast.
There are also sales on household items. If you're a coffee drinker, then you know that Keurig is among the best brewers that you can get. The top of the line coffeemakers usually go on sale at a great savings. Be sure to pick up the extras, too, like the carousel and a supply of coffees and creamers.
Keep an eye out for Macy's deals on bed and bath items, especially if you're looking for high quality designer bed and bath items. Their online and in store sales usually include items from the Martha Stewart collection and the Hotel Collection.
You can also expect savings in household cleaning items like vacuum cleaners. I don't use them in an all tile house, but I've heard that on Black Friday you can find quality brands online or at places like Kohl's for about $65 to $75 off the normal price.
Cameras are also some of the most popular Black Friday deals. You’ll want to watch for DSLR deals and bundle offers from Canon and Nikon.
While you can find some great deals on jewelry during Black Friday, I’ve heard that the biggest sale months for jewelry are March and August, so you may want to save for those sales.
Remember that some retail stores offer shoppers even more savings if they have a store shopping card or a frequent shopper card. Need a way to make a shopping plan? Check out this post for tips and a free printable shopping planner.
