Last weekend, Hero, Sunshine, and I had the privilege of taking our Lemonhass Homeschool Curriculum for Spanish Speakers to the Teach Them Diligently Conventions in Spartanburg, SC. The whole weekend just blessed our souls.
Blessing #1
Great teaching! There were so many good sessions to choose from every hour people couldn't decide which ones to attend! Good thing all of the sessions were recorded and are still available for sale! (click here to order)
Blessing # 2
Fellowship and encouragement abounded as we reconnected with long distance friends, renewed acquaintances with old friends, and made new ones! (not to mention the glorious homeschool shopping!)
with my long-time friend, Darlene
with my good friend, Amy (& Sunshine)
my kindred spirit, chocolate loving friend, Carol (& Sunshine)
my friend Zan, the encourager
Amy of Gigi's Place
Toni of The Happy Housewife
Tabitha of Meet Penny
Rebecca of Mom's Mustard Seeds
Michelle from Apologia
Hal & Melanie of Raising Real Men
Sonya & John of Simply Charlotte Mason (new friends) were very encouraging and gracious with their tips for our vendor display.
We also “happened” to meet up with several friends from our college days. It was great to meet their families and hear how God is working in their lives too. Two of those families are on their way to the mission field!
So, was it worth it? YES! Would I recommend it? YES! In my opinion, the books and resources are great, but the biggest blessing is the real instruction, encouragement, and fellowship that will refresh your spirit and feed your soul, preparing you for another season of God-glorifying homeschool with your precious little ones.
There are still two Teach Them Diligently homeschool conventions left this season! They will be in Washington, D.C. May 15-17, 2014 and in Dallas, TX June 26-38. And I have a short list of other homeschool conventions around the country here. I encourage you to find one near you and go!
If you've never been to a homeschool convention, please leave me your questions below. If you have been, please tell us what is your favorite thing about attending?

It was great seeing you, Katie. I hate it was toward the end of the day when I hit my overload brain moment! And I agree, it was worth it!

It was so much fun visiting with you guys at the conference and the restaurant! It was as if we were all old friends–and I know you had just met some of our folks for the first time at TTD-SC. Safe travels and may God continue to bless y’all!
