My Willow Tree is planted
By a stream called loneliness;
And even while I'm weeping
I'm aware that God doth bless.My Willow Tree is planted
By a river God calls Wait;
But the currents there remind me
That His will is never late.My Willow Tree is planted
In a green and quiet place;
And often God communes with me
Administering His grace.Yes, there's grace in times of weeping.
Yes, there's hope when He says “Wait”.
And I'll go forth rejoicing
For I know my God is Great!~Katie Hornor
Dear Friend,
In the midst of all of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, do you find yourself feeling lonely? sad? impatient? or even hopeless? May I remind you today of a few of God's precious promises:
- I will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5
- I will make you rejoice from your sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13
- I will reward those who wait on me. Psalm 37:34, Lamentations 3:25
- My words give hope. Psalm 119:49-50
- Nothing can separate you from my love. Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39
You, Friend, can go forth rejoicing today in spite of your feelings and in spite of your circumstances because of God. God loves you and God is greater than any difficulty you may face. Trust him today. Hope in him today. Rejoice in him today.
Love,
