This summer, I taught a video series on how to organize all the different aspects of your homeschool, from curriculum, to materials, to schedules and beyond, AND we turned it into an ecourse for you!
10 Days to an Organized Homeschool Course
We asked you, and you said one of your biggest frustrations with homeschooling is how to organize it all, schedules, records, curriculum, digital files, books, tools, manipulatives….
So, in a series of 10 lessons 5-15 min each, I'm going to be giving you tips on how to get your homeschool organized once and for all.
The Course Contents
- Lesson 1 – A successful school year starts with organizing your facts and non-negotiables and getting them on the calendar
- Lesson 2 – Organize your computer to make record keeping easy throughout the year
- Lesson 3 – How to organize your digital curriculum, to know what you have and where to find it
- Lesson 4 – How to organize printables, articles and other online resources into an easy to use library
- Lesson 5 – How to organize your physical curriculum in a small space and keep it tidy, 5 steps
- Lesson 6 – 7 Tips for keeping manipulatives and supplies organized
- Lesson 7 – 5 Tips for organizing your homeschool field trips and extra-curriculars
- Lesson 8 – How to organize your daily homeschool schedule
- Lesson 9 – How to organize lesson plans for multiple children and/or ages
- Lesson 10 – 4 Steps to Choosing Next Year's Curriculum
The course is just $27, with forever access. Go through it again before each school semester to be sure you're as organized as possible. Send your middle or high schoolers through it as they begin to be responsible for more of their own materials and planning.
An organized homeschool is a more peaceful homeschool. When your home is peaceful, it is more praise-filled. You can't ever be too organized, especially when homeschooling more than one child, so check it out at www.10DaysOrganizedHomeschool.com
Homeschool Mom’s Giveaway for $150 (ended)
When the course launched, we had a giveaway to kick off the series. One winner won $150. Did you enter? Check below to see who won.
My biggest challenge is staying focused and making sure the kids are completing thier subjects.
I also struggle with this.
My biggest struggle is staying on task with 4 littles to also keep entertained.
We’ll be talking about that in lesson 9 🙂
How is this possible I struggle have a 8 & 9 year old.
I answered organizing resources, but on thinking further about it, that’s not really it. It’s the long term…figuring out further than what’s just next. Even doing a guess on how long it’s going to take/should take to learn a certain thing is hard.
But organizing resources is a big challenge…especially digital resources.
Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I appreciate it.
It is a big fight. I have my little 6 years and I’m always watching videos on youtube about other languages with it. Investing in education it is fundamental and can not afford as a course, I help her to study the Internet.
I am so looking forward to this! I think I have bought/downloaded every homeschool blogger’s planner from those who I follow via email or social media ?. To say I could use help may be an understatement. This is my first year homeschooling all three of mine and I’m rather overwhelmed. AND!! Today is our official first day of school (we like to go year round). Definitely looking forward to this!
Amy, I am sure you’ll do fine. So glad to have you in our community!
I would use it to buy a few books, but mostly supplies like ink for my printer, paper, etc.
I am always looking for new and exciting ideas for my kids. They love challenge and changing up the routine. So this is an amazing site !
I would use for curriculum but not sure which one — so many to choose from!
Likely, I would use it for a field trip, but I still have foreign language and music curriculum to buy.
I would most definitely use the money to buy school supplies! Things I wouldn’t normally buy to “spice up” our days. Thanks!
I have my eye on a few new curriculum choices that’ll be fresh and new to our family! I haven’t bought anything homeschool related since we started last Fall! Thank you for this giveaway!!
I would use the money for curriculum and field trips.
I would use it towards ballet lessons for my daughter.
I would buy the 12 CD maestro collection I have been wanting for over a year. With the remaining money I would get at least one book off my wish list and finish off with art supplies needed for an “Intro to the Masters” class I have for my daughter. To have a chance to win is appreciated!
I would use it to buy printer ink for all the great digital resources I bought this year but didn’t quite figure in the cost of printing, too. What a great series this should be! I am looking forward to it very much! Thank you!
You’re welcome April!
I would use it toward advertising for my new business Connection Crate
I love to be able to buy some new curriculum for my children since I was scammed when I last ordered a package from a lady on FB and now I have to buy again.
I would use the $ for books and school stuff. I love back to school shopping! We read so many books I would love to add the them
Oh, we love books too Jennie! Have you seen our book lists by topic. I think we have over 100 different lists of recommended books now. Check under the homeschool menu 🙂
I would use the money for school items that I normally can’t afford to buy on our budget. There are so many good educational toys and materials that I would LOVE to add to my curricilumn, but just can’t afford to buy because of the cost. Would now LOVE to have the oortunity to buy a few of them if I was lucky enough to win. Thank You for the chance to win.
I would use it for extracurricular activities, dance or soccer.
I would use the money to send my two grandkids to Bible camp. I homeschool my 8 grandkids and they live with me full time so money is tight for extra stuff that they want to do. The camp is 3 hours away and they have gone before and have benefited from it so much. Lots of great mentors and revolves all day around our Lord. Thank you so much for your great site, and lot of great info to help me along this journey of raising my grandchildren. My baby is going to be 21 and I dont know where the time went, so I am blessed to be able help with grandchildren and enjoy them.
What a blessing and a ministry you have Barbara. Thanks for sharing.

I would use the money for printer ink and cases for the kindles the kids received for Christmas, and likely some chocolate for me! Not everything can be always practical. 🙂
I would use e money for K’nex intro to education kits and some new books.
I would use it to get a table and chairs for our home so we can eat together as a family and the kids can do their schoolwork at a table instead of on their laps.
I would use the prize money to buy a new printer that doesn’t go through hundreds of dollars worth of ink. I love digital curriculum, but I don’t love how much it cost me to print it out for my two children. Thank you for such a generous prize opportunity.
Thanks for offering this giveaway. If I were to win, I would use the money for an online foreign language course. I’ve already bought Spanish curriculum texts used, and for the intro level, I feel I can tackle teaching it. But it would be nice for my daughter to have others to converse with, especially native speakers of the language,
