We are finishing up the school year, or at least some of our subjects, and like you we’re in the middle of the search to find the perfect curriculum combination for next year.
I know you’ve been hearing me talk about Bright Ideas Press Christian Kids Explore Science throughout the year. We were given a free copy to use in our homeschool (the Earth and Space book and accompanying CD of materials) for our lower elementary kids. You’ve probably seen the videos of our kids pretending to be the water cycle, of our homemade volcanic eruption, of glaciers and icebergs melting, and the one we made to help us study cloud classification.
I have never really enjoyed science, but this year with Bright Ideas Press, I watched my children enjoy it. I watched them beg for more, and found myself enjoying it with them.
I asked my daughter, Flower, to tell us why she liked science this year, and which experiment was her favorite. Watch this short video to see what her answer was, and some of the antics of Sir and Taz too!
The solar system was the last section in our book. You can click the link below to download a free crossword puzzle using vocabulary from our Earth and Space studies.
And now, go check out Bright Ideas Press materials! It may be just what you need to light the fire of enjoyment for your family’s science studies!
