Chinese New Year
Disclaimer: I realize that the teachings surrounding the Chinese New Year and the yearly assigned animals are tied to the Chinese Zodiac. As Christians, our family, and I believe most of you, do not believe in astrology or the eastern religions. However, as I mentioned in an earlier Chinese New Year post, our children have a growing interest in the mission field of China and our family plans to use the ideas, activities, crafts, and recipes of the Chinese New Year as a way to teach our children about the culture of the Chinese, while our hearts pray that God will use this knowledge to enlarge His kingdom through them somehow.
