Have you ever traveled abroad, only to return the US and find a surprising serge of pride and relief when you first step into the homeland and see your flag again?
Our flag is an incredible symbol of all the freedoms and things we cherish in the USA as well as a symbol of our incredible history. Flag Day is often overlooked and rarely celebrated as much as other patriotic days, but I'd encourage you to take some time this year to teach your children about our heritage according to the flag.

Thank you so much for hosting this link-up. Great to feature our student writer this week. Thanks from Classes By Beth.
To the readers, be sure to see the “banner” at the top if you would be interested in signing up YOUR student for a course to learn to write something similar to The Flower and the Archer. Registration is ongoing for 2015-16 courses. We’d love to have your student(s) join us in a writing, literature, history, science, math, or Spanish course.

Thank you for making the list for us! These books look great! What a great way to teach kids about the American flag. I plan on buying one for my little girl.
Also, Linda @ The Reader and The Book is having a book giveaway! It’s also a patriotic book! The story takes place on the 4th of July. It’s a Christian short chapter book for young girls centered on Ephesians 6:1. You can view the book giveaway here: https://the-reader-and-the-book-reviews.weebly.com/blog/scarlett-gray-joins-the-parade-by-suzanne-stamboulieh-a-give-away
