Welcome to What to Read Wednesday!
This time of year in many places the leaves on the trees change color as God lowers the outside temperatures and drops his heavenly paint from above.
As we ponder, explore and enjoy the colors of the season, here are some of our favorite books about color! Click on the covers for more details or to purchase on Amazon, and don't forget to check out the link up at the bottom for all things color and the other hosts' recommendations!
If Kisses were Colors by Janet Lawler
Hailstones and Halibut Bones by Mary O'Neill – a great poetry masterpiece!
I Love You the Purplest by Barbara M. Joosse
How Do Dinosaurs Learn Their Colors? by Jane Yolen
Elmer's Special Day by David McKee
Side note: I love elephants, and recently got this one as a gift. Paired with an Elmer book, he would make a great gift for a child (or an adult elephant lover) this year!
A Color of His Own by Leo Lionni
COLORS: An eBook for Teens & Young Adults about Colors and Light by Karl Hoffmann (This book is free on Amazon Kindle for a limited time. Always double check the price before purchasing.)
