Father's Day is coming up.
Have you started thinking about what to read in preparation for Father's Day?
Anyone living has a father. They come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Some you're born to, some adopt you, and some love you like their own without having to. My father is tall and strong with blue eyes, a compassionate spirit and a giving heart.
Father's Day is a great time to encourage young and old alike to honor their fathers with cards, poems, homemade videos, their favorite dessert… there are as many ways to honor fathers as there are professions in which they are employed.
Our book list
This is a list of some of our favorite books to read as Father's Day approaches. Not only are the good to read, they would make precious presents to a father with a personalized note from a child inside… I trust you will enjoy them just as much as we do.
I Love My Daddy Because…(Laurel Porter Gaylord, Ashley Wolff) – a cute board book in which little animals tell what quality they love about their Daddy.
My Father's Hands(Joanne Ryder, Mark Graham) – A little girl discovers joy in nature through the gentleness of her father's hands.
Father's Day(anne Rockwell, Lizzy Rockwell) – Children share and illustrate a book about why the love their fathers.
What Dads Can't Do(Douglas Wood, Doug Cushman) – Think your dad can do everything? Think again! An adorable revelation of the things dad's can't do.
Love Me Tender (Elvis Presley, Tom Browning) – Sweet illustrations depicting the bonds between father and daughter.
The Night Before Father's Day (Natasha Wing, Amy Wummer) – a Father's Day twist to the favorite Christmas poem.
Because Your Daddy Loves You (Andrew Clements, R.W. Alley) – A beautiful depiction of all the little ways Daddy proves his love.
My Daddy and Me (Tina McNaughton) – Cuddly bears delightfully show the special bond between a Father and his child.

Katie,
Thank you for hosting! Love this idea. I hope the post I linked is fitting within your theme…it is not necessarily “Father’s Day,” but it is related to my Dad.
God bless and keep up the great work!
