I can't wait to see what you have to share this week! Anything family friendly and literature related is welcome to link up and/or comment below!
Today I'll share some of our favorite Washington and Lincoln books. These are appropriate for elementary ages, but enjoyable by any age.
Be sure to come back on Friday for our Free Homeschool Helps for President's Day, and you should check out the unit study resources and book lists by the Lacelle Family as well.
Lincoln Books
(Click the covers for more info or to purchase on Amazon)
My First President's Day Book by Aileen Fisher
Abraham Lincoln by D'Aulaire – I loved this book as a child. Classics never get old. I love reading it to my kids now.
Who Was Abraham Lincoln? by Janet Pascal
Washington Books
George Washington by D'Aulaire
Who Was George Washington? by Roberta Edwards
Another resource we really enjoy and that does dedicate some time to George Washington as a General is The Great American Time Machine (Patch the Pirate) by Majesty Music. It is an adventure musical teaching children about freedom and about why America is great. We love it!
