Have you found the journey hard lately? I'm so thankful for the encouragement Laurie offers in this post, pointing us back to the One who is the founder of our faith and fountain of our strength. Be encouraged in the Lord today ladies!
We are all on a journey. Each journey is unique. The one thing we do share in common though is the Source of strength for our journey.
I am so encouraged by Isaiah 41:10 which tells me God is my source of strength! I know so many times I find myself running to Him, desperately seeking His strength and help.
This is exactly what He desires of me. It is what He desires of you as well. He waits for us every moment of every day to seek His strength and His presence.
So why is it that so often I try to do this journey in my own strength?
God has really been speaking to my heart lately and reminding me that He is here for me…waiting…
Waiting for me to stop in the midst of the chaos – NO even before the chaos begins – to fill my heart and mind with His Word and to sit at His feet in prayer. I have to admit, things have gotten so busy around here that I've let my quiet time with God either be rushed through or placed at the bottom of my list where it He sits waiting. And then I wonder why I'm struggling throughout my day! Have you ever been there? Are you there now?
God has so much for us that He is ready and waiting to give if we will only seek Him and His strength for the journey we are each on, dear friend! Read a portion of the song of David we have recorded for us in Psalm 18:32-36 that tells us the benefits of seeking God's strength for our journey:
God arms me with strength,
and He makes my way perfect.
He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
enabling me to stand on mountain heights.
He trains my hands for battle;
He strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.
You have given me your shield of victory.
Your right hand supports me;
Your help has made me great.
You have made a wide path for my feet
to keep them from slipping.
Wow, isn't that amazing! God's strength and the benefits from it are for you and me too! Morning, noon, and night the strength of God is available to us.
Whatever it is that you are facing today on your journey, face it in faith and without fear knowing that God is with you, and that He is holding you with His righteous hand. We have the promises of God found in His Word that tell us His grace – His empowering presence – is sufficient for the journey you and I are on.
He's waiting now to fill you…
