Purple = the color of the Royalty.
Purple is an important color. Do you know what this one means? (let them answer) Purple is the color of royalty. It means adoption and eternal inheritance. Did you know that the moment we repent of our sin and believe in God for salvation, He forgives, saves, gives new life, eternal life and adoption. We become children of God!
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12–13
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:. Romans 8:15–16
Blue = baptism.
Can you think of some things that are blue? What might the blue page of our story mean? (let them answer) Blue is for baptism. After salvation, one should be baptized as a public display of their decision to follow Christ. Baptism does not save, but it does show those who know us that we are serious about being identified as one of God’s children.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 28:19
Green = growth.
A Christian (Christ follower) can grow in his/her new life by reading the Bible, speaking with God in prayers, attending a church that teaches the Word of God and listening to preaching about Bible Doctrine. These things will help you to know God, know what he is like and know how he wants you to act in life.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:8–9
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
Yellow/Gold = Heaven.
At the moment of salvation, God gives us eternal life. That means that after our physical bodies die, our souls will be with God in heaven for ever.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one. John 10:27–30
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1–3
And that is the story! It’s my favorite story because I am one of those sinners who did not deserve to be saved, cleaned, forgiven and adopted by God, but he did it anyway, and he wants to do it for you too!
And then you need to tie the loose ends together and ask for a decision.
